SAPTU was established in 1993
and is a registered trade union in terms of the
Labour Relations Act, Act 66 of 1995. SAPTU operates
in the parastatal, tertiary and all other related
sectors.
SAPTU is politically unaffiliated
which means that all SAPTU contributions are focussed
on its members.
SAPTU strives towards bringing together,
in a proffesional manner, all workers in the parastatal,
tertiary and all other related sectors and building
them into a respected and knowledgeable labour force.
SAPTU members should respect and demonstrate the
demands and principles of fair labour practice based
on a market related economy and constructive participative
management.
